Hey Friend,
I'll be honest with you.
I've been writing this newsletter on and off for years now, and somewhere along the way I started wondering — is this actually landing? Is it useful? Are the words I'm sending showing up at the right time for the right person, or am I just adding to an already-full inbox?
If you've been here a while, you've probably noticed I haven't been consistent. Some months I show up. Some months I disappear. And part of the reason is that I've been trying to figure out what this newsletter should actually be for you.
Because here's the thing: you're a writer. You're building stories, chasing scenes that won't sit still, wrestling with characters who refuse to behave. The last thing you need is another generic newsletter telling you things you already know.
So I want to rebuild this — properly this time. Not as "the best writing newsletter out there," but as the best writing newsletter for you. Something that actually meets you where you are in your craft, your season, your struggles, your wins.
But to do that, I need your help.
I've put together a short survey (3–5 minutes, I promise) so I can understand what you're working on, what's getting in your way, and what would actually make a difference in your writing life. Your answers will shape everything — the topics I write about, the rhythm of how often you hear from me, the kind of community I want to build around this.
I'm not exaggerating when I say this: every answer you give me makes this newsletter better for you. And if enough of you respond, I'll have something real to build on — not guesses.
Thank you for still being here. Thank you for reading, even when I've been quiet. I want to earn that.
Talk soon,
Mechi
P.S. If you've got thoughts that don't fit in a survey, just hit reply. I read every response.
